Medardo Audije Diaz, affectionately known to all as "Medy", came screaming into this world on 5th April 1967 in Luzon, Philippines. Born to a family of professional musicians, it soon proved that music ran in his bloodline. By the early years of his childhood, Medy's naturally powerful and expressive voice was stamping its authority in the many singing competitions that he participated in and consistently won.

This resulted in progressive bans in multiple categories until the only category left open to 13 year old Medy was the professional adults' category, which he unceremoniously championed as well to the mixed respect, amazement and chagrin of his much older competitors. Fast forward to the present day and we find in place of that young precocious but talented upstart an accomplished and respected musician, regionally renowned for his exceptional performing abilities in vocals and guitar, whose career has taken him far away from his native Philippines to places including the Maldives, Germany, Indonesia, Vietnam and Malaysia.

Currently, Medy is permanently based in Singapore and performs in institutions such as Hard Rock Café and Balaclava as the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of Acoustic Trip, recently referred to in entertainment magazines as "Singapore's best acoustic trio", a fact long known to his friends and peers in the entertainment industry. Standing at the pinnacle of his performing career, Medy's current passion (the precise word to describe his attitude towards all things he considers worthwhile) is to discover new talent from the Philippines and give them exposure through the numerous contacts he has amassed in his long and ongoing performing career..Apart from giving an opportunity to those who are worthy, just as he was given an opportunity a long time ago, his musical ear naturally sees him in the position of talent spotter.
